Ellen is an addictions specialist who has worked in the field for more than 25 years and is a lover of learning, she has trained extensively in various areas related to addiction including sexual issues, trauma, childhood abuse, intimacy and attachment, relationships, and compulsive internet use. Ellen uses many modalities such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and holistic counseling to assist people in addressing past trauma and creating the lives and connections they long for. In addition to counseling, Ellen provides training in the areas of process addictions and trauma treatment, as well as supervision for substance abuse and professional counselor interns.
